Spicy Snack Attack
Snacking can be a difficult challenge to overcome. A lot of people are plagued with late night cravings; whether it is due to hunger, stress, boredom, or a number of other reasons. Here are some tips for some healthier options to try when you are craving a spicy snack:
Try some spicy edamame (soybeans). Spread them out over a cookie sheet, drizzle olive oil on them and top with chili powder, garlic powder, or your spicy flavor of choice. Bake until slightly crunchy.
You can also dip veggies in some red pepper hummus. The hummus is packed full of protein and provides you with a savory snack with a kick that will help satisfy that craving.
A few whole wheat crackers with some reduced fat jalapeño cheese can also satisfy that spicy craving.
Pair some low fat pretzels and spicy mustard for a healthier snack with a kick.
